The Industrial Distribution Group (IDG) is a United States based company that is publicly traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the trading symbol IDGR . The Company was formed in 1997 to create a leading supplier of cost effective MROP (Maintenance, Repair, Operating, and Production) products and services for our Customers.

      IDG has been active in the China market  since 1988 through a representative office in Beijing and eventually adding another in Shanghai. As business has expanded , so has IDG. On January 1, 1999, IDG officially opened an office and bonded warehouse in the WaiGaoQiao Free Trade Zone in Shanghai.  Now our operations cover the entire country.

     IDG's China operation is established as a Wholly Foreign Owned Entity. IDG Shanghai currently employs fifty people in the cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanchang, Nanjing, and Guangzhou. 

IDG Shanghai has been able to leverage our reputation and location in Shanghai to attract and retain some of the most highly educated, talented, and motivated people in the business to service our manufacturing customers' diverse needs in general industry, aviation, and automotive sectors.  IDG Shanghai stocks a wide variety of both imported and locally made products. In addition, IDG  Shanghai also offer a variety of Flexible Procurement Solutions^TM (FPS ^TM) including; System Contracts, Consigned Inventory Programs, and Integrated Supply.

    At IDG Shanghai, we have a broad customer base. Our customers include US and European wholly foreign owned companies, US & European Joint Ventures, Chinese private owned companies, and Chinese state owned companies. Our customers cover various industry sectors including Automotive, Aviation, General Industry, and Chemical Industry sectors.  Current customers include such recognized names as Honeywell, Shanghai Volkswagon, BASF, DuPont, UTC-Carrier, Caterpillar, General Motors and hundreds of other US and European multinationals and Fortune 500 companies.  IDG currently has 341 (FPS ^TM) sites under management.

    In order to better serve our customers, IDG (Shanghai) has mobile outside sales engineers and bi-lingual (Chinese/English) inside technical support staff that can source virtually any item that may be required. IDG can issue either VAT R.M.B. (Chinese Yuan) or US Dollar invoices depending upon customer requirements.

   Our strategic location in the dynamic and rapidly growing city of Shanghai allows IDG to efficiently and cost effectively service our customers across China and the Asia Pacific.  IDG Shanghai has recently moved into Golden Eagle Tower in Pudong.  Our new facilities include meeting rooms, training rooms, computer servers and telecom systems, high speed wireless internet and other capabilities designed to allow us to better meet the needs of our customers in China and the greater Asia Pacific region.
